More recently, she is the founder of Visionary Womanhood Gatherings in the Twin Cities area, which began almost five years ago, and she is also the administrator of the Visionary Womanhood blog, while currently working on an e-book: Visionary Womanhood Gatherings: A Family Strengthening Mentorship Tool for Women and Maidens.

I will be 47 in October. My “baby” (youngest of seven, born when I was 42) will be 5 next week. It seems God has closed my womb as I have not even had reason to purchase one of those wonderful little sticks in 5 years. Every month I am just a little sad that God is not giving us another little one in “our old age”….. so now I am looking forward to grandbabies.
My heart goes out to you Tara. This season of life is one that I’ve anticipated with some trepidation. There aren’t very many women in their 40s longing to have another baby…so the empathy is missing in our society. It’s a season that is bound to be riddled with pain if we are open to God’s plan. I wouldn’t totally give up hope though…and I HIGHLY recommend a book called Fertility, Cycles and Nutrition by Marilyn Shannon. It has some great recommendations for women in their mid 40′s who would like to have another baby. It’s also a great book for a number of other reasons…with a lot of helpful information on pre-menopause, menopause, etc. May you feel God’s peace and closeness as you rest in His plans for you and your family.
