New Book: Explain, Show, Practice Character Training

About 20 years ago God gave me a very dear friend, Kim Doebler.  She has been one of those rare people that come into your life and is a kindred spirit in all things.  I’ve been sharpened by her, encouraged by her, amazed at her faith in God in the most horrible of circumstances, and now, thrilled to be able to learn from her experience as a wonderful, faithful mother as she writes a VERY practical, hands-on book for young moms in how to train their children in character.

I know her children…they are some of the sweetest, most polite, happy, well-rounded, service oriented, unselfish children I’ve ever met.  A breath of fresh air in a culture of self-centered, dishonoring children. So she has lived out what she teaches in her book and is now enjoying the fruits of her loving labor.

The book is JAM PACKED with helpful ideas to train children in 9 areas of character including honesty, orderliness, respect, wisdom and self-control.  Right now you can only get her book through her directly, but she hopes to have it available on Amazon and CDB next year sometime.

The book is called ESP (Explain, Show, and Practice) Character Training.  If you would like to order a copy, send an e-mail to Kim at and she will send you an order form.  If you live in the Twin Cities, you can contact Kathy at 952-891-4437, order a book, and pick it up at her home.

I highly recommend this book for young moms with little children…OR older moms who need a new burst of encouragement in their training.  It would also make a wonderful baby shower gift!
