True Friendship With Sons and Daughters

By Contributing Writer, Terry Covey “Friends with my children?!  But I’m their teacher, guide, and caretaker.  They’ll lose respect.” I know.  This topic can be confusing.  One that can’t be encompassed in a quick post or a tip of the day.  But, as our children learn and grow to adulthood and our responsibilities lessen, it […]

Accepting The Season of Menopause

By Contributing Writer, Terry Covey A Variety of Suffering This month’s topic on suffering makes me feel a bit odd writing about menopause.  There is the intense suffering that comes from the loss of a loved one, such as in the Connecticut shootings.  And I have watched several family and friends deal with the incredible […]

Christmas – Tiny Tim’s Way

By Contributing Writer, Terry Covey Well, we’ve entered into this holiday season full swing!  Isn’t it odd that the word ‘holiday’ is something we Christians are almost afraid to say?  But it’s root is ‘holy day’!  A day set aside to remember our God.  Our family enjoyed the beauty of Thanksgiving with 20 family members around our table, […]
