Our kids listen to the ESV Bible – New Testament… while they are falling asleep.  Our 9 year old son decided to listen to James over and over.  One day he told me he is memorizing James…by osmosis…so I asked him to recite some verses for me.  WOW!  He really is!  I remember drilling James with my older two boys for a year before we got it all memorized.  It was hard work!

God promises, ” …so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11.

The Word of God has power we know nothing about.  It’s like the red shoes on Dorothy’s feet.  You can never go wrong using it in all kinds of ways in your life and the lives of your children.  How easy is it to stick in a CD at night and let the little ones be soothed by God’s words?  Only in eternity will be see the rich results of believing this truth and acting on it.
