My Sovereign Joy,

Through Christ Jesus I ask that You would put a willingness in my children’s hearts to bear the reproach Your Son endured.  May they grow to love the world less and love You more; to love me less and love You more.

For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.  Through Christ then let them continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to You, that is the fruit of lips that acknowledge His name. Let them not neglect to do good and to share what they have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to You.

Help them to obey us as leaders and to submit to us, for we are keeping watch over their souls, as those who will have to give an account.

O my children, adore with me the God that gives you worth!  May the God of peace Who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do His will, working in you that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to Whom be glory forever and ever.
