Jungle Doctor and the Whirlwind Audio Book Review
By Guest Writer, Aimee Klejwa (12 years old)
Our family enjoys listening to a number of audio dramas and books including Adventures in Odyssey, Lamplighter Radio Dramas, Your Story Hour, Jonathan Park, and Focus on the Family Radio Dramas. Now we can add Jungle Doctor and the Whirlwind to our list!
Jungle Doctor is an intriguing three and a half hour story about a missionary in Africa running a busy hospital. The story tells how he and his fellow African hospital workers struggle through their physical and spiritual battles.
The narrator who reads this audio book, Paul Michael, is a better narrator than some of the other audio books I have listened to. He is not only interesting, but the accents he uses for the different characters will make you feel like you are listening to a real African or British man, for example.
This book will capture your whole family’s attention and is great for car trips or just hanging around the living room with the family. Jungle Doctor and the Whirlwind is a must-get!
Our final giveaway of the week is from Sam Klejwa, the 18 year old designer of the Visionary Womanhood blog. He is giving a free custom blog header, designed by his media and web production company, Dual Digital.
“We’ll take your ideas and craft them into a one-of-a-kind custom header that perfectly matches your blog or website!” (estimated value: $200)
In addition to designing the Visionary Womanhood blog, Sam has worked on dozens of other projects for nation-wide political campaigns, as well as projects such as The Heart of Simplicity website, eBook cover, and book trailer, and Apple Valley Natural Soap website. (He does all of our buttons here too!)
