I just watched a DVD teaching given by Voddie Baucham at the 2009 Christian Heritage Family Discipleship and Home Educator conference in Washington. It is one of those teachings where you kick up your heels and yell, “EVERYONE and their DOG has to hear this!!!”
Do you wonder about college for your kids? Wonder how much it will cost? How you’ll pay for it? Will it be worth the investment? Does your child need it? Baucham quotes extensively from an article in Forbes Magazine, pointing out some things about college you may have never considered….

It is confusing because they changed the title from that…to Harvard or Heaven. But if you scroll all they way down to the bottom of that page, you will see where you can buy the CD set (Voddie Baucham) OR…an individual CD…and there is also a place where you can buy the DVD set OR an individual DVD. It is very confusing, but if you try…you will figure it out!
Our 17 year old has been taking college classes this year at a local college for free through our state’s post secondary program, and he has earned almost half of his degree by studying for and taking CLEP tests. His goal is to have a degree before he turns 19. So we are not anti-college, and neither is Voddie Baucham. We just think it is a good idea to get out of the culture box everyone is in and think through things before blindly leaping forward. Sometimes you just need someone to pop a hole in your culture bubble so you can get a peek outside.
