Bi-Weekly WOW Links: Christmas Toy Ideas, Education for Women, and Pop Art with a Twist

Every two weeks I hope to post a few links that will make you say, “WOW!”

W–ay    O–utrageously  W–onderful!

(OK…so I’m not a genius at acronyms, but you get my point.)

  • Looking for some fun Christmas gifts for kids?  You know…the kind you don’t regret buying the following week?  Check out Raising Olive’s great list!  I’ve already got some of these ideas on my own list.  (For me!)
  • Want to read a great perspective on education for women?  You will love how Nancy Wilson (a very educated and intelligent female author, by the way) puts it over on Femina.  If you are all about education…but are looking for something more than a cliche…don’t miss this one!
  • And finally, I saw this link on another blog recently…and had to link to it as well.  It is just way too cool.  How do you store the board games in your house after the boxes fall apart?  You know…the perennial faves like Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders?

(I’ll tell ya what this “artsy” mom does…I throw them, all 859 pieces of them, in a big bin…and let the kids have at ‘em.  My hope is that they’ll be so overwhelmed by all the mixed up pieces, they won’t want to play.  Does it work?  Not so much.)

BUT…THIS creative soul figured out an amazing (and artistic) way to do it.  If you or your husband are handy with tools and you like pop art, THIS idea will rock your world.  She’s actually got loads of incredible ideas on her blog…it’s mind-boggling.

That’s it for now!  If you find a link that has a WOW factor…contact me!  I just may include it in our next bi-weekly WOW links post!
