The Best of 2013
We opened 2013 with the theme of suffering in January. Little did I know that this would be the major theme of my personal life for the entire year. I think for 2014 we’ll open with a theme like Super Duper Good Times or How to Have so Much Happiness You Can’t Even Stand It. What do you think?
Let’s take a look at some of the highlights on Visionary Womanhood. Here are some from January:

We moved to the subject of healthy living in February. Those of us writing were not experts on this subject. I still need to work on starting that exercise program I’ve always dreamed about – and can anyone say PB&J? Natural Skippy is about as close to healthy as I get.
We managed to churn out some health-related articles—Visionary Womanhood style.

In March we walked verse by verse through I Corinthians 13.

In October we dove into some controversial waters and had oodles of fun:
Molly kicked it off with Are We Persecuting Ourselves?
This led to a discussion of where the BEST place to live is for a Christian in Country Mouse, City Mouse: Which One Are You?
And THAT led to Let’s Have the College Conversation.
Molly wrapped up the entire thing in and tied it in a nice bow with Choosing Which Hills to Die On. I just love her.
November and December found me flying this blog solo. I enjoyed it! Here are some articles that got more attention than most:
Facebook Hissy Fits and How to Avoid Them
Finally we tried a little experiment and had a “Just Ask the Wemmicks” series for a brief period of time. Readers could write in with a question, and the contributors would all give their advice on their own blogs. We covered the following subjects:
- Modesty (or the lack thereof) on the beach.
- Achieving perfection as a woman. (HA!)
- Maintaining friendships as a busy mom.
And that wraps up 2013! I wanted to put it all together into a book again, and I did give it some thought for about 24 hours. When the stress factor started kicking in, I booted that idea out the door and regained my equilibrium. Isn’t it a beautiful thing to just say NO to oneself? I plan to do that more in 2014.
See you then.
